Today marks my third day as a full-time, self-employed, photographer. It was certainly a big and scary move on my part, but I'm excited about it. Usually I dread Sunday evenings because that marks the start of the work week. This week I didn't experience that.
Monday was the start of the new job. I set my alarm and woke up early. I've decided that I will keep my alarm set and get up no later than 9am (which I have yet to sleep in that late). That way I can get a start on my day and not waste it away.
It was so strange to be up and decide what I need to do, no worrying about anyone else telling me what tasks need to be done for that day. I'm still getting used to that. I'm also trying to get a good groove going so that I don't feel so scattered during the day.
I had a photo session and got some stuff done. The best part of the whole day is that I was able to enjoy a Monday night with my husband. When I was trying to juggle it all, he was the one you suffered because at the end of a 9-6 work day I would come home and work some more.
I still have yet to clean out my office, but I'm hoping to get to that today.
Here's a photo I snuck in at a quick intermission during my photo session on Monday. I'll hopefully have more of those to show you next week.
