These next photos didn't happen during a photo session, but it's exactly what happens during a photo session. I was hanging out with little B and her dad while B's mom and my husband were off finishing up some details from a race that they'd just finished (that was a long sentence, so hopefully you're still following me). ANYWAY. While hanging out, I decided to bust out the camera and take a few photos of B. Instead of immediately shoving the camera in her face, I decided to win her over. This is the most important part of photographing children. In my guest post at MCP Actions about photographing kids, this was the very first tip. I think it's the most important one too.
While trying to win her over, B's dad snapped a quick photo. I always like these because it's fun to show you guys what happens behind the scenes. It's also fun for me to see what I look like behind the scenes.
After winning her trust I was able to snap some photos of her.
