So I have this hidden talent of teaching dogs tricks. I have no idea where it spawned from but it's really funny. All of the dogs I have owned have been able to do lots of crazy tricks. Some of them by total accident. .
Anyway, I've always wished my dog could retrieve items for me (stuff like pour me a glass of milk, make me a sandwich, or even just bring a drink from the fridge). Apparently I'm not THAT awesome of a trick teacher because I haven't mastered those.
I did discover the best messenger service. My office is upstairs and my husband's is downstairs. My office also has the printer in it so if he prints off a document I usually bring it down (because I don't want him to see my awful mess of an office). This time I decided to see if I could get the dog to do it for me. I tucked the document into his collar and told him "go get dad". Hubs called him and he ran to his office to deliver the document.
I think I'm onto something.
