The other day I was talking with a few other local photographers about how digital cameras are cheap and now everyone is a photographer, so why pay more when your neighbor just bought a sweet DSLR and could totally do it cheaper? .
The day before I had another photographer friend tell me about a conversation she had with a client whose wedding photos were taken by a "neighbor with a sweet camera" for much less. She also said that the photos weren't what she was hoping they would be and is now doing a mock shoot to hopefully recover some of the moments that were lost on the wedding day.
Now I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer on this Monday morning, but just wanted to share that it DOES HAPPEN. When it does, most of the time those memories can't be recovered. You might remember this post about wedding photos ruined, but during our discussion we were having someone posted THIS article about the difference between a cheap haircut vs paying a little bit more. It's a great story.
