Awwww. I love babies that smile so much!
Tis the season of babies!
Capturing this shot has been a long-term goal ever since I saw a baby posed like this. Yesterday, I had the PERFECT subject. She let me do whatever I wanted!
And in case you didn't get enough, here's another :)
It's been a busy week of shooting and editing. This is what I've been up to! Ps. Sorry for the individual logos being plastered along the photo collage, they were originally going to be individual sneak peeks but I haven't had time!
Generally I like to photograph newborns around 2 weeks old. However, if the baby is pretty small I will wait until they've hit near 8lbs. In my experience, 8lb babies sleep better during a shoot than 6lb babies. This little lady didn't weigh 8lbs until near 4 weeks old. 4 weeks is the nerve-racking age because you never know if they're going to sleep or be awake if you pull and pose them. Not only that, but this lady was sooo tall. I this she beats the heights of any newborn I've ever photographed. I think mom and dad said she was born at 22-23 inches in length.
Needless to say, we didn't have ANY issues getting her to sleep during her session.
Remember this little punkin?
She's already 6 months old!!
The thing I love about silhouettes is that you don't have to say anything about them. They are a bold statement of the moment in a simple way.
I will admit it. I'm guilty. Guilty for not posting full sneak peeks in a while. I've been pretty busy so it's been much easier to just post a photo here and there. So TODAY I've decided to post a sweet little newborn I photographed a month or so ago. I loved photographing her not only because she's adorable but because she has so much hair! Also, forgive me if a few of these are repeats.
And I think this one might be my absolute favorite!
I ALWAYS try to get the smiling pictures but they're so sporadic and mostly happen when the camera is down. Not this time!
It feels like one of these days....
'Tis the baby season and I love it. This little lady was born with a FULL head of hair. I love babies with lots of hair. This little snuggle bug made my job WAY too easy.
