Personal branding is essential to today's digital world. You need headshots for speaking events, meetings, email signatures, LinkedIn, and your website. What is the difference between headshots and portraits? Both fall under the umbrella of personal branding, but have a little bit different function.
Headshots: Perfect for corporate websites, email signatures, and most business use. Photo is cropped up pretty tight and backdrop is generally clean and simple.
Portraits: A little more than a headshot, they are used to tell a little more about you. A portrait session runs a little longer than a headshot because we will want to pull out some personality. We will get a little more creative and a little less formal. Usually, more of your body will show in the photo as well.
I HIGHLY recommend professional makeup for these types of sessions. Camera ready makeup is much different than the makeup you wear on a day-to-day basis and it makes a huge difference in the photos. I have someone that can come to the studio at a very affordable rate. Please feel free to ask any questions about this part of the process.
